Here you will find our ongoing and upcoming events, and descriptions of what your kids can look forward to.
What is VBS?
VBS stands for Vacation Bible School.
It’s 3 hours of learning, singing, dancing, and having fun with friends, while learning about scripture, and what our Great God has done for us through His son, Christ.
This year’s theme: Game ON!
Invite your kids to grab their megaphones, lace up their cleats, and tune up their instruments. As they fill up the offensive line, sideline, and drumline, your players, cheerleaders, and band members will realize God has given them His ultimate playbook. He wants them to join His team, train hard, celebrate salvation, and encourage one another. Get in the spirit today with Game On! VBS.
Theme Verse: His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 2 Peter 1:3
When is VBS?

We desire to provide a safe space for the 800+ kids we typically have during vbs. It is a huge responsibility and we don’t take it lightly.
The BEST way to accomplish this is to have a solid connection with all our Leaders.
PLEASE MAKE NOTE of our new policy for Bay Area Church VBS Leaders/Volunteers below. Students, 14 years of age through Adults must complete our Background check.
- VBS Adult Lead Teachers and Helpers must be members of Bay Area Church.
- Adult Leaders in supporting roles are Members of Bay Area Church (or may be consistent Attenders)
STUDENT HELPERS (7th grade – 12th):
- Student Helpers must be a part of Bay Area Church Student Ministry or Bay Area Christian School. Bay Area StuMin Staff and Bay Area Christian School Principals will provide approval for all student applicants.
What is Camp KidJam?
Camp KidJam is a new concept in children’s camp designed not only for rising 3rd – 6th graders, but for their leaders as well. As a component of our Orange strategy, Camp KidJam is designed around the principals of 252 Kids, which teach children to grow in wisdom, faith and friendship. Camp KidJam is designed to provide a fun experience for kids, unique leader training to develop adult leaders and to elevate the significance of Small Groups for children.
Watch for more details coming soon as we plan our Parent/Camper meetings.
Jam Sessions are 45-minute camp-wide gatherings that feature
enthusiastic hosts, high-energy worship, compelling storytelling and an awesome drama. Experience crazy team cheers and game competitions, engage in incomparable worship led by some of the nation’s best worship leaders, and enjoy our cliff-hanging, fun dramas that reinforce the camp theme and tie into our Storyteller’s Bible story. These interactive, stellar productions are easily one of the highlights of camp!
Small Groups create space for kids and leaders to grow in relationship and dive into the Bible stories shared in Jam Session. Our leaders are provided with fun activities and discussion questions that help their group conceptualize the message and apply the bottom line to their lives. This impactful tool is a staple of Camp KidJam and is a springboard for campers to create bonds that last long after camp.
Leadership Training is a series of unique workshops for staff and volunteers led by an Orange expert. While the children attend tracks, leaders will enjoy this chance to recharge and be reminded of their influence, while engaging in discussion and having their toughest ministry questions answered. This experience is what makes Camp KidJam different – because we design camp for you as much as we design it for kids.
Tracks are fun filled points of interest activities that kids sign up for at Camp KidJam. Some of the amazing activities that they can participate in are dance, drama, sports and arts-n-crafts. Kids get to participate in one track each camp.
When is Camp KidJam?
Camp KidJam will be held Monday-Thursday July 23-26 in Denton, TX on the campus of Texas Women’s University.
The theme this year is:
Best. Week. Ever.
Milestone 1Family Dedication
Understanding your role as the primary faith trainer for your family. This is a seminar and a ceremony that normally occurs for parents who have children between birth and one year of age.
Milestone 2Gospel Foundations
Training your child to know and use their Bible while teaching them the biblical truth about salvation and baptism. This seminar will give you resources to lead family devotions in the home.
Milestone 3Preparing for Adolescence
Preparing your child to embrace their identity in Christ as a teenager.
