Bay Area Church is looking for a full-time Communications Director to join our team! 

The Communications Director develops and leads the overall creative and communications strategy, process, and efforts for Bay Area Church. This includes brand strategy, marketing, film, social media, content management, website, communication elements, and overall brand experience. They are committed to developing an empowered and innovative creative culture through staff and volunteers who are focused on pursuing the vision of Bay Area Church.

This position requires the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and demonstrate active cooperation on a campus that shares facilities with a Christian School of 800+ students, to include a cooperative spirit with supervisors, department team members, co-workers, volunteers, and contractors. The full-time working hours for this position will typically fall on a Sunday through Thursday schedule, with flexible scheduling based on the needs of the ministry.

The Communications Director must demonstrate reliability, creativity, self-motivation, and strong time management skills; Ability to maintain discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality; Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as multi-generational interpersonal skills.

Education/Experience: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; College degree in a relevant field preferred; At least 4-5 years of previous relevant experience; Knowledge of graphic design, social media platforms, websites, and communication and marketing strategies; Experience with a variety of creative, design, and video software; Basic understanding of AVL Equipment and Presentation Software is preferred
