Title: Simple, Not Easy
Text: Matthew 25:31-40
1. Why do you believe Jesus taught these lessons (and others) by using parables?
2. Do you feel the 5 wise and 5 foolish virgins in this first parable were treated fairly? Why or why not?
3. The Master gave the talents to the servants in this parable and expected them to do something with them. What does this tell us that Jesus expects us to do with the talents He has given us?
4. The reward given to the servants who produced and worked with their talents were the same, even though they had not produced the same amount. Do you feel this is fair? What does this tell us about how Jesus looks at “fairness” compared to how we look at “fairness”?
5. Jesus commends the sheep for acting when they saw need and he rebukes the goats for not acting in the presence of need. How should this impact the way we live our lives? What are needs we see on a regular basis that we may be more like the goats than the sheep?
6. What are your goals to be READY, ACTIVE, & PURPOSED in 2025?
