Dear Bay Area Family,

This has been quite a week. I am so grateful we will be able to gather together for worship on Sunday. We will be in-person and online at 9:00 and 10:30 and then online only at 5:00 PM. For the first time since the pandemic began, we will be celebrating the Lord’s Supper. When you arrive you will find individually wrapped communion elements in your chair. Come in humility to remember the body and blood of Christ, given for our sin. We will be socially distanced and face coverings are required. We have an overflow venue if the worship center becomes too full.

Hurricane Laura Relief – Many of you are anxious to help our neighbors in SE Texas and in Louisiana. We are building partnerships now with reputable organizations focused on disaster relief in those areas. We will give you volunteer information very soon if you would like to practice our value of hands-on-service in the name of Christ. You can also donate to support the Hurricane Laura relief effort. Just click this link.

Thank you to all of you who responded to our need for food donations for an emergency shelter. The relentless love you show as a church always warms my heart. Praise the Lord there was no need to shelter the people of our city during or after Hurricane Laura. All of your donations will go to local food banks.

September 13 is a Big Day! It is the day we will bring our full program for children and students as well as adult life groups, back to an in person format on Sundays. We are so excited! In order to accommodate everyone and continue to distance, we will need to add a third worship hour. Beginning September 13 our new worship times will be 8:30, 10:00, and 11:30. More information is coming for your kids, teenagers, and your LifeGroups. I am grateful that we continue to move forward as a church family, safely, but gathered. Of course, we are always online at bayarea.church/live, YouTube, and FaceBook. Join us online if you are unable to gather in person.

You are loved,

Pastor Brian
