Series: A Study of Acts - Part Five: The Gospel to Rome
Title: Unlikely and Unexpected
Text: Acts 23:12-25
1) Why do you think we sometimes struggle to recognize God at work when things don't happen the way we expect?
2) Jesus promised Paul he would testify in Rome but didn't explain how he would get there. How can we learn to trust God's promises when the path forward is uncertain?
3) God's presence didn't keep Paul from facing opposition and difficulty. How does knowing God is with us change the way we face challenges?
4) God used unlikely people and unexpected circumstances to protect Paul. Where have you seen God provide in ways you didn't anticipate?
5) Paul's circumstances didn't seem to make sense, but God's purposes were still moving forward. How can we remain faithful when we don't understand what God is doing?
Bottom Line: God often works in unlikely and unexpected ways.
