Introducing Your Elementary-Aged Child to Everyday Faith (E)

Room: E 105 Whitney Kocher, Lead Kids Minister, Bay Area Church

One of the greatest privileges you have as a parent is to help your child come to faith in Christ and begin to grow in their faith. As you care for your child’s daily needs and work to prepare him or her for success in life, there’s nothing more important than caring for their spiritual needs and helping them prepare for eternity. Like many parents, you may not quite know how or when to approach one of the most exciting yet intimidating moments of parenthood. That’s understandable, but God has given you the most important and most influential role when it comes to nurturing your child’s faith. All it takes is a little training for you to feel more comfortable about the when and how of introducing them to Christ and how to develop a strong Biblical foundation.

Discipling Disabilities: Kids Who Think, Learn and Feel Differently (A, G)

Room: E 206 Tori Calvert, 8th Grade & Special Education Educator, Pearland ISD

How do we faithfully disciple children who experience cognitive, learning, emotional, and developmental differences? Together we will explore how to create environments where kids who think, learn, and feel differently can grow in faith and discover their God-given purpose within the body of Christ.

Grace and Grit: Practical Skills for Nurturing Resilient Relationships (G, T)

Room: E 103 Dr. Jessica Peck, Author, Radio Host of the Dr. Nurse Mama Show and Shelby Peck, Student Ministry Assistant, Bay Area Church

Join this mother–daughter team as they share their two-decade journey of hope, healing, and rebuilding connection. Designed for parents and caregivers, this breakout offers practical tools for creating homes where children feel safe, supported, and deeply connected in a world that often feels overwhelming. You’ll learn how to cultivate emotional and psychological safety through intentional family rules and rhythms, shift from reactive parenting to thoughtful response, repair quickly and kindly when tension arises, and embrace a faith-informed perspective instead of fear-driven tactics.

Cultivating Leaders: Practical Strategies for Developing Leadership in Children (G, P, E)

Room: E 104 Stephanie Moses, Family Ministry Specialist, Radio Producer

Leadership doesn’t begin in adulthood; it is shaped in everyday moments from the earliest years. This session equips parents, educators, and mentors with practical, age-appropriate strategies to intentionally develop confidence, responsibility, initiative, and character in children from preschool through young adulthood. Through real-world examples and actionable tools, you’ll learn how to create environments that call out courage, cultivate ownership, and prepare the next generation to lead with integrity and purpose.

Stories that Stick: Growing with Children’s Books (P)

Room: Equip Room Valerie Ellis, Author, Speaker

Create winning discipleship moments with the power of stories! In the same way Jesus used parables to link the familiar to the spiritual, participants will learn how to use children's books to connect with their kids on a deeper level, engage young hearts and minds in biblical truth, support a child’s emotional and spiritual development, and build family bonds.

Stories are fun, memorable parts of childhood, and they stick in a special way. With lots of book recommendations, discussion ideas, and spiritual applications, this session is fun and practical!

Relationship Gap: Navigating Complicated Relationships Without Losing Yourself (S/B)

Room: E 106 Joe Dougharty, Minister to Single Parent & Blended Families, Houston’s First Baptist Church

Parenting doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens in the middle of relationships that can be complicated, strained, or emotionally exhausting. This session focuses on the relational gaps that exist across multiple relationships, including relationships with former partners, current partners, and step-relations. Parents will gain gospel-centered insight and practical wisdom for navigating tension, setting healthy boundaries, communicating with clarity, and pursuing peace and growth without carrying unnecessary guilt or weight.

Bridging Communication Between Home and Work (M)

Room: E 205 Moe Mayes, Executive Director, PCS Ministries

This workshop is designed to help bridge the communication gaps that often form between home and work. Together, we’ll strengthen understanding, connection, and mutual support on both sides of that bridge. You’ll explore the roots of common communication challenges that lead to emotional shutdown, irritability, burnout and gain insight into why even the strongest relationships can feel strained under the pressures of a demanding career.

Beyond "I'm Sorry": How Parents Can Model True Repentance & Repair (T)

Room: E 204 Kyle Backhus, Student Minister, Bay Area Church

Saying “I’m sorry” is important, but it’s not the whole story. This session will help parents understand and model biblical repentance that goes beyond words, showing children how confession, humility, and meaningful repair reflect the gospel in everyday family life. Parents will leave with a clearer framework for guiding their homes toward grace-filled accountability and restored relationships.

Ask a Therapist (G)

Room: Fellowship Hall Dr. Dyana Robbins, LPC, Owner, Sheltering Oaks Therapy and Marianne Morrison, LPC-A, Sheltering Oaks Therapy, Educator

This interactive session offers a rare opportunity to ask a licensed therapist the questions people often carry but don’t always know how, or where, to ask. Participants are invited to submit real-life questions about emotional health, relationships, boundaries, stress, trauma, faith, and personal growth. Drawing from clinical expertise and a compassionate, grounded perspective, this session provides thoughtful, practical responses without judgment or jargon. Whether you’re curious about how therapy works, navigating a difficult season, or seeking clarity on emotional or relational patterns, Ask a Therapist creates a safe, respectful space for insight, normalization, and meaningful takeaways you can apply right away.

Legacy Path 2.0 A “newish” Pathway for Church and Home (G)

Room: Student Center Dr. Brian Haynes, Lead Pastor, Bay Area Church

The world is shifting quickly, and the pressures facing families and discipleship have never been more complex. As culture evolves, our strategies must evolve with it. We’ve taken a fresh look at how milestone ministry can move beyond events and become a deeply formative discipleship pathway for both churches and homes. Join us for a strategic and practical conversation about building intentional, adaptable discipleship frameworks that equip parents, empower leaders, and strengthen spiritual legacy in this generation.
