Breakout Session 1

September 26, 2026

Lauren Armstrong

Lauren Armstrong serves as the Associate Student Minister at Bay Area Church. She has served in Student Ministry for 10 years and is passionate about helping teenagers know and experience God through the Holy Scriptures. From a young age, Lauren has loved the Lord and sought after His voice in this noisy, chaotic world. When she's not at church, she is hanging out with her friends and puppy, Tom Hanks.

Hearing God’s Voice in a Noisy World: Recognizing His Leading

Your phone rings. The car engine revs. Children ask for help. The news demands you pay attention. The laundry machine buzzes. This world is noisy to say the least. With all the chaos, it can be incredibly difficult to recognize God's leading, let alone hear and discern His voice. In this session, we will discuss how to eliminate the noise of the world to actively listen for the voice of God. (youth, young adults, and women)

Tara Warner, MS, LPC-S, NCC, LCDC

Tara believes that even when life doesn't go as planned, God continues to work in and through our stories.

Still Called: When Life Doesn’t Go As Planned

Disappointment may change your circumstances, but it does not cancel God's calling. The session will address the realities women face after divorce, loss, illness, prodigal children, infertility, caregiving, and other disappointments. The takeaway becomes: Being chosen by God does not guarantee an easy story. Being equipped by God does not eliminate suffering. Being sent by God does not require having everything figured out. God's call remains, even when life unfolds differently than expected.

Leah Holder Green has been teaching God’s Word since she was 17 years old. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, Phi Beta Kappa, and later earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Texas School of Law. She is married to Clarence Green, and they have three beautiful daughters—Caylen Joy, Lena Hope (with the LORD), and Carris Faith.

Rooted: Open Your Bible. Understand It. Live It.

Have you ever opened your Bible and wondered, Where do I even begin? You don’t have to be a Bible scholar to study God’s Word with confidence. In this practical and encouraging session, you’ll learn a simple approach to understanding Scripture, discovering its meaning, and applying God’s truth to your everyday life. Leave feeling equipped, confident, and excited to spend time in God’s Word.

Made For More: Say Yes to God and Pursue the God-Given Calling He has on your Life!

You were created for more than fear, doubt, or settling for less than God's best. In this breakout session, you'll discover what it means to surrender fully to God, say yes to His calling, silence the lies that have held you back, and boldly step out in faith. Come be encouraged as you learn how God uses ordinary obedience to accomplish extraordinary things for His Kingdom—and how He wants to do the same through you.
