Happy Labor Day Weekend Bay Area Family!

I know like my family, many of you are grateful for the long weekend. I hope you rest and enjoy your family and neighbors. This Sunday is the final and most important message in our series The Art of Neighboring. I hope that you will come expecting to hear from the Lord as we discuss The Power of Sharing.

I am really excited about three upcoming opportunities!

Night of Worship and Prayer – On September 5 at 6:30 we will have a church-wide time of prayer and worship. We believe there is power in prayer and we long for more opportunities to gather the entire congregation for prayer. We will praise, confess, intercede for each other, and pray for other local churches in the 4B area. If you have a burden or would like to pray for healing we are ready to pray for you. I believe this will be a very powerful time together as we worship and pray.

Grief ShareAll midweek equipping classes will begin on September 12, but I am particularly excited about Grief Share. So many of you have suffered loss this year and are in a season of grief. This group setting is designed to support you and equip you to grieve with hope. The class is open to all so if you have a neighbor who is grieving, this is a great opportunity to invite them.

Israel experience 2019 – We recently began registration for our June 1-12 Israel experience. Currently 21 of 56 spots are filled. In 2006 I experienced the land of Israel and studied the biblical text in context for the very first time. It opened my eyes and changed me forever. I knew then I had to lead others to experience Israel with the Bible as our guide. Since then I have led hundreds to walk the ancient paths of the Scripture and to discover the root of their faith in Christ. It is the experience of a lifetime and worth the investment. I hope you will consider this amazing discipleship adventure.

This weekend, consider your neighbors. Pray for them. Invest in your relationship with them. Love them well. Pray for our team that is in the Middle East serving and for our college and young-adult group who is on retreat this weekend. See you Sunday!
