What is Parent Summit?

Parent Summit is a one-day event that helps to equip families to walk the path of Legacy Milestones.  You will listen to a special guest speaker and attend 2 Break-out Sessions to help you get the most out of your day. Lunch will be provided.

BREAKOUT SESSIONS

During registration you will be able to select the breakout sessions you would like to attend.

How do I choose the right breakout session?

  1. Stay ahead of your kids.  Wherever your kids are on the Milestone Path, stay a step or two ahead by attending the Milestone breakout before they get there!
  2. Split up.  Ideally, both mom and dad attend Parent Summit and can split up to attend more breakout sessions.  Remember to take good notes and set a time to debrief the next week.
  3. Repeat.  Don’t be afraid to repeat a breakout session from year to year.

Milestone 4: Purity for Life

During Junior High, it becomes glaringly obvious that we must address “SEX” from a biblical perspective. The Children & Student Ministry partners with parents by teaching students the importance of accountability, healthy friendships, and biblical standards for purity. At the same timewe think it is much more important for students to learn these principles from their parents. We coach parents to focus on these issues in faith talks and intentional conversations before, and throughout the middle school years. During the parent seminar we provide resources to help in those conversations and faith talks.

Milestone 6: High School Graduation

Learn to equip your son or daughter for the challenges of life ahead in Christ while staying connected as a primary influence in his or her life.
