- How do you think you would have felt listening to all Jesus was saying during the Sermon on the Mount? Do you think some people might have been overwhelmed by all Jesus was saying they needed to do?
- Read Matthew 7:7-11. What is the promise Jesus made to us in this passage?
- What is the premise that comes before this promise? What are we supposed to do?
- How has God kept this promise in your life?
- Why is it important to make sure our heart is following after God before asking God for things?
- Has there ever been a time when God didn’t answer a prayer the way you wanted? How did you respond?
- What is a specific prayer you are still waiting on God to answer?
Take some time to pray. Ask, seek, knock and trust God today. Stay faithful in prayer remembering that persistence leads to powerful prayers.
