I pray you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. This weekend we will turn our attention to the season of Advent. With anticipation we will prepare for the celebration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. In traditional advent fashion, we will light candles each Sunday and focus on the hope of Christ, the peace of Christ, the joy of Christ, and the love of Christ. You can pick up an advent calendar for use at home, either personally or with your family, to daily participate in advent. When you pick up your calendar, also pick up a box to collect non-perishable food items each day of advent. We will be collecting these items and donating to local food banks.
Last weekend we made a very special announcement. The elders unanimously recommend Patrick Lyle to you as our next Worship Pastor. We will be voting to affirm this as congregation on December 15. To learn more abut Patrick and his family, follow this link.
Pray for 44 of us as we depart for Israel this weekend. Pastor Kade will be kicking off our Advent celebration while I am in Israel. May God give us all ears to hear and eyes to see all that He has in store for us.
