Hi Church,
This Sunday we start a new series focused on the awkward tension between the gospel and culture when it comes to the place we call home. This weekend we will talk about marriage from Ephesians 5:31-33. You will need to prepare yourself to lean into the tension between the scriptures and the cultural norms. At the same time, as it always is with Jesus, you can expect grace and hope.
After studying for this message I can promise you this is not a “how to” sermon. Married or not you are going to dive deep into a 1st century picture revealing the mystery Paul describes in Ephesians 5:31-33. As a Christian you will rejoice when you see the picture clearly. It may feel awkward, but it’s beautiful.
