I pray you are walking in the grace and peace of Christ. He is our anchor and our hope. I am grateful He leads us through and His promises are sure.
Here are a couple of really important items for your consideration:
Beirut Explosion: As many of you know our church has significant relationships in Lebanon. In the wake of the Beirut explosion we are partnering with Arab Baptist Theological Seminary and our friend and president of ABTS, Elie Hadad, to house some of the estimated 300,000 newly homeless Beiruti people. Funds are needed quickly to provide essential items and food. Please consider giving this week through Bay Area Church to help. Just click Emergency Beirut Relief to give.
Food Drive in partnership with Galveston County Food Bank. COVID-19 is causing difficulty for many residents of Galveston County. Bay Area Church is partnering with the Galveston County Food Bank to provide non-perishable food items to people in our region. Bring your non-perishable food items between 10am and 2pm, August 6-8, to the student center parking lot. Our volunteers will unload your vehicle for you. Thanks in advance for helping in this very practical way.
We are gathering IN PERSON and online this Sunday. Join us in person or online for worship this Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am and then online only at 5 pm. We are in phase 1 of our regathering plan. We will have worship only. Your entire family is welcome to attend worship services. No registration is required. Everyone 10 and older is asked to wear a face covering. On Sunday, August 16 we will begin phase 2 of our regathering plan which will add KidMin for birth through 4 years of age. It is a gift to gather together and worship Jesus. We need each other.
Finally, our school ministry, Bay Area Christian School, begins classes in person and as a virtual academy on August 11. Our team worked diligently in preparation to give our students and their families a safe and quality experience in light of COVID-19. Would you please pray for the administrators, faculty, and staff as well as the students of Bay Area Christian School?
