Dear Bay Area Family,

2020 is proving to be quite a year. As we continue to navigate COVID-19 and look toward another potential Hurricane, I am reminded of how much is out of our control. I am grateful God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in times of trouble. In this season God is speaking. It is very important we take time to listen to what He is saying to us as people, families, and churches. We need to hear from Him and obey Him.

Worship together this Sunday – Let me encourage you to worship with us in person on Sunday. We are in Phase 2 of our re-gathering plan providing KidMin through 4 years of age. We will continue our series in 2 Peter as we learn how to discern truth when intentional falsities permeate the church and the culture. We need this right now. 2 Peter 2 if you want to read in preparation. We will be celebrating 6 baptisms and we will worship the risen Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Join us a 9:00 AM or 10:30 AM in-person or online and 5:00 PM online only at www.bayarea.church/live or YouTube and FaceBook. Of course we are taking all the necessary precautions to provide a safe, in-person environment. Masks are required. Stay home if you are sick. I can’t wait to see you!

Register to Vote – As always, it is important for every American to exercise his or her right to vote. If you have not registered to vote, click this link, register and make plans to vote. Your voice counts.

1st Wednesday Prayer – On the first Wednesday evening of each month beginning in September we will gather in our worship center and online to pray. In this season the Holy Spirit is calling us to pray without ceasing. Our Lord is compelling me to gather the church to pray and hear from Him. Church, prayer is the most important thing we can do. Mark your calendar for September 2. We have much to pray about together.

May you walk in the grace and peace of Christ as we prepare to worship together this Sunday. You are loved.

Pastor Brian
