This Sunday we will begin a new short sermon series entitled, “The Gospel &…” focused on three relevant issues viewed through the lens of the gospel:
1. Politics – November 3
2. Suicide – November 10
3. Culture – November 17
This weekend we will focus on politics, studying Mark 12:13-17 and learning from Jesus as he engages a 1st century political mess. I promise you, I will not be trashing politicians or parties. I will not be telling you how to vote. We will discover how to walk with Jesus and others at the intersection of gospel and politics.
Earlier this week I sent you an email concerning Roger Cullins’ transition to Houston’s First Baptist Church – Cypress Campus. Roger and I will tell you more about that on Sunday as well. I am grateful for the Cullins family and for Roger’s leadership and friendship these last 7 years.
