New City Catechism: We’re posting one question and answer, with commentary by one of our pastors or leaders, each week for 2019. Our hope is that you will take the time each week to memorize these questions and answers in an effort to strengthen your biblical knowledge and to “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have” (1 Peter 3:15). To follow along with us visit www.bayarea.church/qna.

Israel Less Strenuous Tour: Register to attend the Israel trip, December 1-12, 2019, that is designed to be “less strenuous.” The vision is to invest in our spiritual mothers and fathers and other pilgrims who have always wanted to go but did not want the difficult hikes. Enjoy the same teaching, most of the same sites, and the same rich experience with God. You will study the Biblical Text in context, and it will change you. Register at https://legacymilestones.com/event/2019-israel-study-tour/.

ServeLink: The TOP FOUR ways we’re asking you to serve on Sunday mornings: Kids, Students, Connections, and Tech Arts. To find out more about how you can serve in one of these areas you can go to www.bayarea.church/go, or download the Bay Area Church app and click serve.

KIDMIN

Champion’s Cub News!

We have some exciting KidMin news!  On August 18 – Promotion Sunday – we will open our 2 Champion’s Club Rooms  – for children 4 years of age through (entering) 6th Grade.  One is a Teaching room and the other is a “Sensory/Motor” room.  We are extremely grateful that Susan Wollam has agreed to Direct our Champion’s Club Ministry.  Susan is very gifted and knowledgeable in this area – has a heart to love and serve all children and their families – knows how to provide peace and reassurance to parents – and works hard to equip and support team members. Champion’s Club will provide one on one support to kids – utilizing our new rooms and assisting those who are mainstreamed in LifeGroups as needed.  If you are interested in serving with Champion’s Club – or have a child who would benefit from this ministry, please email cherie.niscavits@bayarea.church.  Please allow us the privilege to serve your family in this way!

Promotion Sunday is ONE WEEK AWAY and we continue to pursue awesome leaders to invest in Kids.  There are still “Must Have” left to staff.  Every LifeGroupmust have at least 2 adults – and our GOAL is 3 committed team members.  This plan allows for the safest environment – most productive time connecting with kids/parents – and the most effective atmosphere for presenting the lesson and activities.  Would you consider serving in one of these positions?  To serve in KidMin email cherie.niscavits@bayarea.church.

  • Kinder B @ 9:30 (No Team Members)
  • 2 Yr B @ 9:30 (Assistant every other month)
  • 2 Yr A @ 11 (2nd Adult needed)
  • 2nd Grade B at 11 (Need a team every other month)
  • 5th Grade Boys and 6th Grade Boys LifeGroups at 11 – Need additional Adult Males to assist Teacher

Bible Presentation: On Sunday, September 15 we will present kids in First grade (2019-2020 school year) with a New Bible. We will clarify details with those who register. Email kidmin@bayarea.church by Sunday, August 25.
